My Reptile Interests

Just got into snakes this year. I have 2 KSBs and a baby Okeetee corn snake. Never been afraid of snakes, in fact I always had to rescue them when Mom found them in the house. Now I'm married, own a small farm in the country and my house is still getting invaded by wild snakes, usually black snakes with a bad temper!

Horses, historical re-enactment, equestrian historical re-enactment, writing, drawing, fantasy and vampire fiction, D & D, sharp pointy things not just to hang on a wall and alternative religions. YES, I'm a MEAT EATER! If it has 8 legs, it better be soaked in old bay and on my plate! I AM interested in doing reptile outreach esp. since my KSB has the perfect personality for it but I haven't made the right connections yet. As you can probably tell by now, I have some pretty eclectic interests!

Coyote Run, Steeleye Span, Loreena McKennit, Enya, Julia Ecklar, Heather Alexander, most forms of Celtic music whether it be new stuff or traditional old stuff. ( You know, the stuff they paly at Ren Faires! ) Folk and filk. I do like some rock. Godsmack, Icehouse, Midnight Oil, Enigma. I have no musical talent whatsoever! I do NOT have pod cast. Where I live is so rural, we're still on dial up, so no, I can't do U-tube, myspace, twitter or any of that stuff. Blogging is challenging for my system. I guess country folks are assumed to be so spread out that the companies couldn't make enough $$$ on them. Oh well!

Anything related to LOTR. Martial arts movies, anything by Miyasaki ( sp? ) Historical movies, Steve Irwin, CRIKEY! Dr. Who, Torchwood.

I'm a massage therapist that couldn't make a go of it although people loved my hands. I've worked all my life either in the horse business as a stable groom, or at small animal vets. One previous job I was an equestrian midwife. It was dirty, tiring work but very emotionally rewarding! I'm now being trained as a vet tech for a small animal hospital. ( Sorry! No reptiles! Grumble, grumble! )

Someday I will be a world famous author! No, REALLY! I have 2 finished books needing polishing before they can be published. I'll probably be totally grey by the time that happens though.
We also have 3 horses one of which is a breeding stallion with a puppy-dog temperment. All our horses are registered Haflingers and the stallion has been known to throw his disposition regularly and make bombproof, babysitter type horses. So anyone on this site who is also into horses, PLEASE PASS IT ON! My "Alexander the Great" needs some more action! :-)))))
