Other than my Cresteds, I have 3 shelter mutts I spend most of my time with. If I can bring them with me wherever I go, I will.
And I tend to my live planted freshwater fish tanks. I've had them going for 5+ years and my pleco is proof of that considering his size.
I cannot imagine my life without animals, it is my livelihood and calling.
