Overview

Apollo X Classic Unnamed Female Striped tessera "Apollo" 100% het for anery, hypo, and diffused (from pied lines) Crossing to a Normal het anery and hypo unnamed female. Observed copulations on 4/10 - Estimated egg laying date: - Between May 10th - 25th Laid Eggs on Mother's Day! 5/8/2022 * eggs are just like Hel's clutch huge perfect white eggs with no fertile rings when candled, and are thus labeled questionable. The other 3 eggs were clearly infertile slugs. The 8 questionable eggs are currently being incubated. --Estimated hatch date: - Between June 29th to August 21st --A normal baby with a slightly deformed head hatched on the 12th of July 2022 and two siblings a Hypo with a slightly kinked neck as well as a normal with a slightly kinked tail hatched on July 13th of 2022. They will be added into IHerp after their first sheds and photos. --Today the 15th 2022 I candled the remaining eggs for movement then cut the eggs open. One egg had nothing in it and was clearly bad. 3 other babies had died with varying amounts of kinks in the eggs there were two anery babies and a hypo baby deceased. The fourth egg I cut open another meatball, an anery baby who was severely kinked but alive. This "meatball" baby is breathing, looking around calmly as if not in pain but probably unable to move. We left this one in its own bin with a moist paper towel on the floor to allow it to finish absorbing yolk. SHould be noted that even the babies who hatched successfully had yolk left to absorb. | --We believe something happened during the incubation of these 2022 clutches for both of them to have such high instances of deformed babies. We do not believe this was genetic as one clutch was sibling to sibling pairing, but the second this one in particular was not related at all.
