Fides X Hel 2022 Ghost het stripe 50% possible het pied bloodred X Anery het hypo stripe 50% possible het pied bloodred This is a sibling x sibling cross to prove hets. Updates: -As of 4/10/2022 - Hel looks gravid or ovulating. She was paired to Fides the male once back on 3/15/2022 to see their interest in each other. We did not see a copulation but Fides is finicky so we left the pair together a few hours under a cover to hide them from moving things in the room. Between April 14th - 29th (For the first pairing on 3/15) Between May 10th -30th (For the observed lock ups on 4/10 and 4/13th) --Eggs laid May 2nd 2022-- 6 clear infertile slugs 4 big white beautiful eggs but these 4 all candled looking infertile. Will incubate these 4 just in case. --June 25th, 2022 -- A double clutch was laid with 10 eggs total. 3 questionable eggs, 1 fertile egg, and 6 slugs that she managed to drown in the tiny water dish we had specifically in there so she wouldn't lay in the water. :C even the fertile egg was ruined and smelled so we did not incubate the eggs in this clutch. --Estimated hatch date: June 27th to August 15th --July 1st the first egg hatched a pretty anery. --July 9th I candled the remaining eggs for movement then cut them open. There were two deceased babies a kinked ghost, and a severely kinked anery whom resembled a meatball. The third baby, another ghost, came out alive with only a tiny bit of umbilical left. It was moderately kinked in a few different places but completely blind. This baby was clearly in pain and euthanized shortly after. -- Should be noted that even the babies who hatched successfully had yolk left to absorb. | --We believe something happened during the incubation of these 2022 clutches for both of them to have such high instances of deformed babies. We do not believe this was genetic as one clutch was sibling to sibling pairing, but the second was not related at all.
