Overview
Repeat pairing- Patternless Red female X Red/White male from '09
Last year this pair had great results and it was a first time both had ever bred.
So this will make it the second breeding for both sire and dam.
Just prior to placing the male into the females cage I noticed swelling in the female which looked like follicle growth.
On May 10, 2010 I introduced the male walked into the other room and I returned no more than 5 minutes later and they were already wrapped up. they continued copulating for a few hours. The last courting that was followed by a possible copulation was on May 30, 2010. From the first copulation on the 10th to the last on the 30th many copulations were observed during this time mostly at night. The male was removed once copulation ceased on May 30th and both animals were fed the following day. The female continued to swell and ovulation most likely occurred during the first week in June with a POS on June 30th 2010.
The expected due date is October 31, 2010 ( Halloween ).
Litter born on November 3, 2010 126 days from POS. 8 total 6 live and 2 still born.
