First wittnessed copulation Mar 16, 2011-Final of 3 hook ups was 4/1/2011
As she did last year, about 5 days ago she became very aggitaed, acting unimpressed with the human choice of egg box, she appears desperate to find an escape from the viv. Because of her ridge and checking her against the "JELLO BUTT" scale, she appeared to be MORE THAN ready.
Last year she did this too and I came up with covering her Viv around the egg box area with a towed, granting her senses less to deal with and a bit of privacy. About 3pm yasterday we did that - as well as moving our 2 1/2 yr old female from the room. and wha la, she went and stayed in her egg box at around 3 hours later... first eggs were seen aroun 9pm last night. -
***6:45am - May 23, 2011 - Eggs have been safely moved into incubator. one in a connected pile of 12, and 2 that were not quite touching. Dis-connecting her from her eggs she did the usual "Contraction" , but I had her back half and Sean her front, other than the 2 eggs rolling slightly, moved with out incident.
Lil' Momma had her quick warm sink bath, (she loves those and she REALLY needed it this year, she was "gooey/sticky"...(that was new) upon being returned to viv, she went straight to her water dish. Her last feeding was less than 2 weeks ago, so we will offer her a fuzzy in a few hours after she rests.
