This is a Red Tailed Pipe Snake (Cylindrophis ruffus)
The body is black/dark purple and the underbelly has white bands, the tail is bright red. When the snake is threatened it tucks its head under its body and bluffs by flattening and raising its tail to show the bold coloration. It grows to 100cm.
