Rob Carmichael, Curator, working with a new arrival - an albino monocled cobra

Photo Rating 0 votes

Although we tend to not muck with our animals too often, we do feel its important to have some level of human-animal interactions, even with our venomous collection. This is important as when its time to give meds, take off a stuck eye cap, etc. the snake won't flip out due to the regular interaction it receives. We still use equipment such as hooks, tongs, tubes, pinning devices, etc....human safety is always number one.
