Wow....time passes so quickly in this hobby, it seems like just yesterday I was picking out Dumballa, my first Ball Python... I have one huge regret about Reptiles... I wish I'd 'discovered' them earlier!
As a little girl I did collect the odd bugs, lizards, garter snakes and such. In fact my jacket had a pocket for earthworms and a pocket for bugs in it. My mom didn't like that too much...especially when the bugs got out even though I buttoned it!
I guess I grew into the type of girl who pretended that the crawly stuff was icky for a long while. And then after my children were raised, and I had some time on my hands....I met my first ball python, Damballa. He came home to live with me. And pretty soon we had Damkina, and Dubaku....from these three, I've expanded my horizons considerably. We count over 100 reptiles in our home at this time, and this doesn't take into account the hatchling creatures.
So...guess I'm addicted. I don't want the twelve step program. I don't want the cure. This is wonderful!
