Collection

This is my current collection of reptiles and tarantulas (though I, surprisingly, have no tarantulas at the moment). My first tarantula was a Mexican red-knee (Brachypelma smithi) who, unfortunately, passed away after a bad molt shortly after I got her. I started keeping tarantulas when I was 15. My family used to keep a couple baby turtles when I was a child, but we did not take as good of care of them as we should have; I don't consider those turtles as part of my reptile-keeping hobby, since I was young and did not have the passion for keeping them back then. I consider my first reptile to be my bearded dragon, Irwin, whom I still own. I got him for my 16th birthday in June, 2007, and even though I have rarer and more unusual animals now, Irwin is still my favorite and most cherished pet.
