Thanx! Fred is pretty big but no boy bits so I think he's probably a she. Also, when we got Fred, we got Barney at the same time, from the same guy. And he looked similar... We thought they were the same species and we housed them together. But upon further research, I found that Barney is actually a Moorish Gecko. But since they get along so well, even though Barney is a lot smaller, we have left them together. So I actually think they are both female.

If you do catch a glimpse, from what I have found, males have thicker tail base, larger head, & the usual male gecko boy bits bulges. Seems they reach maturity in under a year, so if you know it's been in captivity at least a year, just look for boy bits :) Hope that helps some. There's so little out there on them.

I'm honestly not sure where he/she came from. He/she was given to me after his human passed away. The person that I got Fred from didn't even know what he/she was!

I was able to grab a decent enough of look of mine (first time i've really seen it since I put it in it's new tank in May!) a few days ago to determine that I think I have a female. Did yours come from Glades Herp?

Yeah.... Fred hides 99% of the time. He's a big scaredy cat. LOL!
