Comments:	This is Casper... he's my first Axylotl. I got him as a baby and he's well into his adult stage and almost about 9 inches long. He's very a very eager eater he's very gentle not to mention an expressive character as you can see! :-)

I just got mine about 6 weeks ago. I'm currently trying out larger, round rocks that I collected and cleaned from a lake years back. So far so good.

Thanks about the picture :-) I learned the hard way not to put gravel in the aquarium. Previously, I had him in an aquarium where he swallowed a few blue peebles and was really afraid he'd get sick but he passed them out. I have sand gravel which is very small, small enough to pass through if digested. I would suggest no gravel at all actually to be safe. I have decided to remove all gravel in the next cleaning of the tank cause it's overall easier anyway.

Great picture! Gotta ask... Is that regular aquarium gravel? I was told not to put mine on it because of the high risk for impaction.
