Comments:	Jade is a very special snake. The majority of our snakes are captive bred. Jade however was a wild-caught "rescue". I went herping one day with my husband at the local hiking trails, and under a large piece of bark was Jade, this GORGEOUS yellow-bellied racer. However she has received injuries from something she had tried to catch and eat...her eye was extremely damaged, and her lower jaw and labial scales were extremely damaged as well. We assume whatever she tried to eat, it bit back! So we bagged her and took her to our herp vet, got her on anti-biotics, and 2 sheds later she is looking wonderful! However she is permanently blind in her right eye, so we are keeping her to care for her and provide her with proper care and a safe environment. I say "she" but we have not had her probed, so she could very well be a "he". Also unknown age, but looks young/smaller. She's definitely not a docile "pick-me-up" snake, however she's absolutely stunning to look at and we love caring for her.
