Comments:	Chance is an eastern milksnake that was hours away from losing her life. She became tangled in some discarded netting and by some miracle, was discovered by my father in law who was able to free her from her certain death. There was another, tawny colored specimen with her that died just minutes after being freed. She was very weak at first, and I wasn't sure if she would make it. She was super dehydtrated and drank for 10 minutes straight when given a soak. I could tell that she was very sore, and was slightly limp for a while. She had a few swollen bruised areas that have since gone down. She had several areas on her belly that were cut up from trying to free herself. Her skin has many minor abrasions that are now healing up nicely (all of those white areas you see on her skin in the red parts). She has shed once and is already in shed again in less than 3 weeks, showing me that her body is attempting to repair the damage. Her belly is healing well and the scarring will be minimal. She is eating thawed mice very well and while I can tell she's still not fully recovered from her near death experience, but she is making progress and she's going to be just fine!
