Species:	Gila Monster Heloderma suspectum
Sex:	Male
Comments:	Gila monsters (Heloderma suspectum) were described by Cope in 1869. The species epithet 'suspectum' was used because he rightly "suspected" that they were venomous. The type locality was noted as Sierra de la Unión, “Sonora” (= Arizona). I obtained this pair as juveniles, and they are now ready to breed.
