I was gonna say, what made you decide on a scorpian!!?? But, I see your son wanted it.... I guess it'd be hard to deny one of his wants when you're getting so many of yours, huh!? (And besides, it won't take up too much room!) : )

Very nice. I'm kind of into bugs. I haven't tried scorpions yet but see them available at shows a lot. I had some lovely tarantulas but was never able to overcome my handling fears, so they ended up with science teachers. Loved my praying mantids for a while, but tedious. Now all I have left is a colony of roaches! Might go back to them someday. Thinking about stick bugs, kind of cool. Do let us know what you think of keeping the scorpion

Jeff, I have to tell you that a week ago, I learned how to handle one of these guys. I am HUGELY afraid of spiders, and these guys are kind of similar to me, but not quite as scary. More just an unknown. Well, I work at shows and we sometimes sell them, so I had to learn how to pick them up. Once I did it, it wasn't so bad!! Of course, I still feel a LONG way from trying with a spider!!
