Comments:	This is a species that is rarely seen in the trade. Its common name is (Western) Black Tree Snake, and it has a West African distribution. The type locality is Axim, Gold Coast (Ghana), a coastal town South of Kumasi. This particular specimen comes from the the same country of origin, except that it is from the central part of Ghana. I obtained this male as a recent import in 2018, but he has acclimated well, and I'm hopeful for finding him a female soon.
