Comments:	NEVER LEAVE LIVE FEEDERS UNATTENDED!!! Scars was as close to death I've seen an animal when I rescued him. He was left in with a live rat overnight and had four huge wounds that exposed his spine and ribs along with over fifty individual bites. I started him on antibotics immediately and a betadine soak along with packing the wounds with SSD cream.(Thanks again Dr. Storey, my boss for the meds!) I made a vet appointment with my exotics vet Dr. Hardy in Nixa MO (wonderful vet! A+)and was given an additional cream to use but other than that it was just a wait and see thing. I never took any pictures of him for about two weeks because I never thought he would survive. Redtails were never my fav snakes but after watching him inching his head over to rest on my fingers while I treated his wounds won me over. As you can see Scars is a very healthy boy now. He has some nerve damage from the first major wound from his head but other than that he is doing great!
