what do you keep him in? and what would i keep one in if i had say a 6" (shell length). theres a 2' one in pond up the street from my house, he stole my metal hooked lure, will he be ok?

Yeah, he was rescued out of a stock pond from a water plant by a worker, and delivered to me. He's grown a bit since I've had him.
