i didnt realize this, but iherp needs to update the classification of the western rattlesnake species, it is no longer crotalus viridis, but crotalus oreganus. so technically this subspecies is C oreganus helleri. just a public info bit! thanks for the comments guys! that main picture of him was very early on in his captive life, you can tell how pissed he is in that picture haha.

That's an awesome buzzer right there. I've developed quite the affection for the C. viridis rattlesnakes since I began doing research on the venom of the Prairie Rattlesnake.
