Animal Name: Triton
Reference Code: Florida Banded Watersnake
Species: Florida Banded Watersnake
Nerodia fasciata pictiventris
Sex: Male
Comments: Contrary to popular belief, Neroida are very personable snakes, and easy to keep.
These guys came from a friend in SC who breeds both Florida Banded and Red Bellied Watersnakes.

The reasons these three died are a total mystery.
No signs of illness except, obviously, being suddenly dead.
Whatever it was, they died within a month of each other and were doing great before that, eating well and growing and shedding.

Every Nerodia I've ever caught in the field has been a pissy, nasty terror. Perhaps captive bred animals have better personalities. Whatever the personality you've got some gorgeous animals posted up!
