as long as next year you produce another few like the last young u produced you should go good especially getting the little guy back you have the potential to ither throw him back over medusa for a greater ratio of what he is or throw him over another female and medusa over his dad to try your luck

yeah I understand maybe I consintrate on getting a full clutch of babies work from the odds on striped numbers and also just work with the RP Stripes. then later down the track buy a super or lend to you or colin.

the only thing is that your wenlocks like medusa arent genetic striped so cannot have the ability to produce "supers" theyre pattern are simply how they are, i have stripes that are genetic and they can produce "super" stripes im also paying off a young female that is a "super" stripe PLUS she is a caramel so she holds two genetic traits one of which is super so i hold high hopes for her but ill need think carefully about what i throw over her in 2012

I was talking with a fella up here that had the pleasure of owning such a magnifisant animal the only one in cape york lines was a caramel super striped animal. unfortunitly she died a few years back but he never produced any more like it. this is a goal for the future though to get some nice supers happening. but if I get this other stripy back and breed back to dad or mum depending on male or female I should get some interesting looking animals, and somewhere down the track will look at putting some RPM's and or genetic striped or tigers over the brown line. should be very interesting as to what will be produced in the future. if I can get a good year that is.

yeh my wife would love to get a massive coastal or any species for that matter as a pet, a large coastal like medusa of urs would be sought after by people who like to throw RPM's over as many females as possible as if your girl has 40 odd eggs that means a good percentage would be 100% hets and full RPM's i think you should hammer on with the brown back ground/reduced pattern wenlock locale look, im biased though as i like locale specific animals although if you got hold of a stripe/super stripe to breed over them that can only turn out wicked super stripes with the rp wenlocks would look fantastic

exactly cris, this species with age can push out a stagering 60 eggs depending on age and size. the older the female to nicer the eggs and more of, because of there shear size and width this species has smaller eggs and more of then the average coastal. however the wenlock river local specimens ie in my avatar only grow to 6ft and desplay the voodoo markings like a jungle however there more stockier and also the head shape is much shorter and not so pointy. the patterning is pretty simular bar the cape yorks are actually white or cream markings very bold in appearance and sits on a 2 toned background. very striking in there own right.

definatly mcdowelli, wenlock river in cape york is the locale the mother "medusa" is a mere 9ft...... no jungle gets 9ft or has as large a clutches as she does my good mates junglezilla 7.5ft jungle (huge for a jungle) only had 23 eggs medusa pushes 40

I've come to believe its mcdowelli as everyone that you ask here in aus that also keeps this species has no clue as to what scientific name they actually fall under. They are found in the tropical north QLD in australia up in Cape york along the wenlock river. there one of my most favourit specimens as I keeps them mainly. thank you for your nice replies
