Be careful. Chondroheads tend to get "bitten" by the eyelash viper bug. That may be a slightly inappropriate statement to make about a venomous snake, but you may soon find yourself with a dozen of these... I know I will:) They are awesome little creatures. Arboreal vipers in general. They are some of the gems and jewels of the rainforest. -p-

I don't handle my venomous-at least I keep it to a minimum. He was fine to move into his new home and does well on the hook. My other one was the same. In general I've found them to be fairly mellow. You have to mess with them to get them to strike. And yes, these are the same species that are found in Costa Rica.
