Species:	Greek Tortoise (Spur-Thighed Tortoise) Testudo graeca
Sex:	Female
Comments:	Myrtle was a Craigslist rescue. The previous owners fed her cookies and pizza. They had a house lamp stuck upside down in a 10 gallon aquarium as her heating/light sourse and they kept her in mulch that had added "color enhancer and weed control" in it. Her eyes were swollen and she was sluggish. But she is very healthy now and doing great. She eats so much that we call her "Piggy".

I just love her! She has so much personality and even my husband is quite taken with her.
