Comments:	Oplurus cyclurus the Madagascar spiny tailed iguana. There are two species that are very similar and these are Oplurus cyclurus and Oplurus cuvieri. Marbles is a wc male Oplurus cyclurus. Technical common name is Merrem's Madagascar Swift but they are iguanids not swifts so it's not that great of a name. Commonly called the Madagascar spiny tailed iguana though. Cuvieri often goes by the Madagascar collared iguana as well.

Haha his tail is spiky but his pattern is marbled. I distinguish the patterns of the two species as either speckled or marbled... so he's Marbles. But he does have a nice tail.

I think of marbles as smooth and transparent. This guy looks more like a spiky rock. A nifty one at that! Haha.
