Animal Name: Patternless Northern
Species: Emerald Tree Boa
Corallus caninus
Sex: Female
Locale: Northern/Suriname
Morph: Patternless
Comments: We got this big and beautiful gal from Brad and Cassie at Brass Jungle Arboreals. Brad acquired her as an imported subadult in 2002. She's nearly 6 feet long. Sorry about the bad pics. She was in shed, and Bobby snapped these when he had her out to shower her. We'll get some better shots up soon. We may pair her with our Nicoli Basin, but we'd like to get a nice classic northern or "anaconda" phase patternless male for this babe. She's a virgin, and we're hoping to get several good litters from her.

Ha! Yes she is and yes they do:) The only reason she hasn't been paired yet is because Bobby is reluctant to put his precious (but small) Nicoli "Fab Five" male Basin in with her big @$$. Gitter dun Bobby! If she hasn't already, this girl is going into a 90 gal. Oceanic "Lizard Lounge" (remember those?), with a modified top and a heat panel. -p-

Thanks. She is a pretty big girl, but it's not at all uncommon for northern females to reach this size. Basins can attain lengths of over 9 feet! -p-

Awesome snake! It looks huge for an arboreal in that pic
