Comments:	"Rotting Banana Crypsis" is another of Josh's beautiful chondros. He is supposedly a farm bred Jayapura type. While RBC looks relatively "normal" as an adult, he was an extremely unusual neonate. The best way I can describe his appearance is that he looked like he didn't know if he wanted to be a red or a yellow neo. The "two tone" color is the first thing you notice, but he also has "confused" dorsal markings. Most of them look like the dorsals you typically see on red neos, although quite small. However, some of the markings look like yellow neo markings. As he changed color, the red neo markings went through a typical change. At a glance, I would guess he was a yellow neo now, but upon closer inspection, I can still distinguish both types of markings. I have a theory that he is "genetically red" (or possibly both?), meaning that he can produce red offspring with a female that was a yellow neo. We're getting a chance to test that theory in the fall. A friend is loaning us a nice Proven Biak -ish female. I'm excited about the pairing and that this will increase Josh's chances of getting a clutch when he makes his first attempt at breeding chondros next season.
