Animal Name: Zeni
Species: Mombasa Golden Starburst Baboon Tarantula
Pterinochilus murinus
Sex: Female
Comments: Zeni was one of my first couple of Ts, and I would not recommend this for everyone! She is easily one of my most defensive girls, and baboons are not tarantulas to mess with!
I absolutely adore her though! One of my favorties, I tried to pair her at the end of 2010 but she crunched the male right after he got her into position, she's since molted. (In her defense, he was a stupid, stupid boy...she was very patient with him and he just couldn't get it together.)

Wow. I've been looking at T's lately... this gal is utterly stunning.

I didn't pick that name, it's the name that was already in the system. I know the usual common name is Usambara.

Usambara starburst is the common name normally associated with this species. I've never heard the name you're using. Definitely not for everyone, as they are fast and nasty, with a powerful bite. However, they are beautiful and fun, if you know how to deal with them. -p-
