Animal Name: Jelly Bean
Reference Code: JBWPNY2008
Species: Carpet python integrade
Morelia spilota ssp
Sex: Female
Death Date: 12/4/2017
Comments: 12/4/17 - apparently, it was osteoporosis that caused her face to shatter when she tried to eat. The vet euthanized here today :(
12/1/17 - transferred ownership to the vet... :(
5/5/13 - in celebration of Cinco de Mayo, this girl shed her old skin. I'm pretty sure I have been slacking in tracking her sheds, because I know she shed more than 2 times in the past 2 years, I just did not note it. She does have a history of being my problem child though, as she has not really grown much... she is a about 4 years older than Twix, and he is about to reach her size. She is eating reliably now however. I haven't seen her refuse in a while. And she is about ready to move up to small rats.
5/17/12 - I wish this girl would be less picky... she won't really eat rats reliably (meaning she refuses all but 3 times a year if that's all I offer her). She gobbled the mice I started offering her, but lately she's only been taking one adult mouse, and she's a 4' snake... she's TINY compared to my male coastal... and Twix is quickly catching up to her (He just hatched last fall, she is an '08 snake). Any suggestions for getting her to eat more reliably? I don't really know where to get chicks, so if that's a suggestion, please let me know where to look for a seller. ;)

she looks like a jag sibling integrade possibly, most likely a west papuan(irian jaya) crossed to a coastal jag in efforts to create IJ Jags. this would explain her remaining somewhat smaller and refusing rats. plus she looks very much like a coastal/IJ integrade. do you have any background or lineage info on her, or who you bought her from..? i would probably hold off on breeding her or labeling her mcdowelli unless her lineage is solid, unless you want to start breeding integrade jags/morphs anyways. just make sure thats what theyre labeled. awesome collection of animals tho, i used to have a female picta gecko and thought of starting a breeding group for a while
