Good question! Platinum is not the same thing as Lesser, rather a combination of Lesser and a "hidden" gene. This hidden gene is only visible when combined with Lesser, Butter, Mojave, etc. The Platinum was the original snake imported and when bred it produced the normal looking het plattys as well as what were called Lesser Platinums because they weren't as light and bright as the original Platty import. It wasn't till further breeding that the Het Platty gene was understood. Ralph Davis figured it out. So far it is looking like Het Platty is dominant as he has bred two together and not noticed much difference in the normal looking offspring, but when put with the other genes it brightens it up, but it isn't fully understood yet and really was just recently noted that it also brightens Mojave. When you breed a Platinum to a normal you will get approximately 50% lessers and 50% het plattys. All normal looking offspring are het plattys as the Platinum acts as a "super form" like the BEL does.

Platinum is the same as Lesser right? If so, then isn't it impossible to be het for lesser? Lesser is a co-dom so doesn't that mean half the offspring are lesser and half the offspring are normal with no hets? Lesser is already a "het" for Leucy Blue Eyed super form. If it is possible to be het for the heterozygous form of a co-dom gene then I think I missed something lol.
