Reference Code: 1.0 CB11 Pantherophis guttatus
Species: Common Corn Snake
Elaphe guttata guttata
Sex: Male
Comments: We acquired a pair of hatchlings from Brad Chambers in October 2011. They are from Lee Abbott's Okeetee lineage (Jeff Cochran stock), and should make for stunning adults.

Thanks! Okeetee corn snakes are still one of the most beautiful snakes in North America, and I would never feed these guys off. But yes - with certain groups (e.g., Bungarus, Micrurus, Ophiophagus, etc.), using feeder snakes often becomes difficult to avoid. I've even had some hatchling Naja haje that would refuse to take anything but snakes for their first year.

I am not going to lie I saw these up and thought "oh god he posted them as cobra food" cute lil buggers! Glad to see they are not going in a mouth, even though I know with some cobras its not avoidable.
