Comments:	Aspidelaps lubricus was described as "Natrix lubrica" by Laurenti (1768) from the Cape of Good Hope in the Western Cape of South Africa. Andrew Smith (1826) considered it to be a true cobra ("Naia somersetta"), before Sternfeld (1910) classified it in the genus Aspidelaps. This female was originally produced by Robbie Keszey in 2007, and has finally found its way into my collection. She is significantly larger than the male, and the banding is a lot more obvious on her.
