Animal Name: Conjoined Twins
Reference Code: TWINS
Species: Crested Gecko
Correlophus ciliatus
Sex: Unknown
Death Date: 3/21/2012
Comments: These little guys were quite a surprise. The egg started leaking and then denting so I decided to cut it open ... and this is what I found. I was quite surprised but the clutch mate is doing just fine. Very strange. ~ UPDATE: The clutchmate was nicknamed "Squeaker" because you couldn't open the lid of the tank without him "squeaking" at you. He later had a seizure and died on 4/27/12.

This is really neat... makes me wonder more about crested genetics.

That is very interesting. Do cresties twin much at all? I third the blog. Just include any info you have. Size health, mating of the parents, how you incubated, temps, substrate, etc... any backgound you have on the parents, genetics, etc...

WOW! So Cool. Was the egg much bigger than normal? Did you cut the egg open or did the bottom one pip out? Thanks for sharing.
