Date Action
10/14 Comments - Double clutched! Out of two whole clutches, only one good egg. It's day 64 now.
03/04 Comments - Haven't seen a lot of real action, but there are a few suspicious "stains" on the tank floor. I hope that's what I think it is!
03/01 Comments - Haven't seen much action. I have no idea if anything has happened. I'll keep them together and hope for the best.
02/10 Comments - Introduced. No copulation observed but I see some suspicious "stains".
06/29 Comments - Eggs are looking good. I candeled them and saw a serpentine movement inside one of them!

Animal Name: Red
Species: Common Corn Snake
Elaphe guttata guttata
Sex: Female
Morph: Just an ordinary wild-type corn snake, but she's a beauty.
Comments: I think Red is a corn snake pin-up girl if there ever was one. She shows us that you don't have to be a fancy morph to be beautiful!

Hi John, Thanks. I'm not sure if Manolo is a morph or a normal. He most closely resembes your snake named "Red" although he has very, very little black. I think he's a handsome little guy too. He has a great disposition. Corns are awesome!

Can you look at my okee and tell if she's ready to breed? She's over a year old but I don't know about weight. She's really plump, not overweight though. Thanks

I hope my wild-type ends up looking like that as an adult woman. How long have you had her? What feeding plan do you follow with her, every 5-6 days?

Yes, she IS a beauty. She's just a plain old wild-type corn snake. But this girl has very nice yellows and oranges in her. There are so many corn snake morphs, but I still love the beauty of a plain old corn snake. Sometimes I think it's a shame that everyone has to concentrate on so many morphs. I love it when I go to a show and see someone selling lots of ordinary, cheap corn snakes to kids as their first herp. That's what it's all about when you're 10 years old! Thanks, John
