YAY! she ate these whole and handfed I am so proud! Was very eager about the 5 at night, probably could have eaten a bunch more (was looking) but didn't want to give her too many.
I think she may have also eaten one on her own, otherwise it is in her tub somewhere, but if she did she ate all on her own and I am so very proud of her!
Either way she definitely seems to have her appetite back, which is excellent. |

got more baytril from the vet, will continue to admin until it runs out or for another two weeks, I don't know how much exactly of what I've managed to draw out the last two days she's been getting, may need to start dosing over again. vet tech said she gave me 2mL so I should have enough for 50 .04 mL doses. |

left eye (her left) had shed coming off/out of it, hopefully she'll get that out on her own, will attempt to swab it out otherwise. left eye not squinty before soak today, right eye still squinty before.
seemed a bit more keen on eating the bits of waxworm in the slurry. wouldn't eat a head bit she got but she'll chew and eat the squishy bits. She still flicks her head to shake off the larger pieces, or after she's already had a bit.
still perky, still a bit flighty when you pick her up, but walks calmly on your arm/hands once she's out |

| soaked ~1 hr. still got her eyes all squinty before soaking, and not totally wide open afterwards... are they still bugging her or is she just not used to having them exposed to air and they're sensitive? I dont know. glad she gained a bit of weight, and she's still definitely perkier and wanders around her RUB more. gonna continue weaning her off the liquid food and onto the worms. Don't mind hand-feeding her worm-aid slurry mush but she should probably eat mostly "real" food. |

| soaked for ~1 hr to hydrate and be sure she got all her eye sheds out. will do again tomorrow before I feed but weighed her after today and she was at 21g which is great if she is that tomorrow without food in her yet. left eye (one not as bad initially) was open pre-soaking today, which is another good thing. overall she's looking better. now if she'd just eat properly on her own we'd be set. |

| called vet, said to chop up worms very very small and syringe feed, so will start that saturday when the carnivore care (according to the package) needs to stop being used. also said to soak and use warm compress if she gets stuck shed again, so we'll do that. lizards are so much more complicated than snakes... can't tell if her eye is cloudy cause she's blind or cloudy cause of shed. She seems duller than yesterday though so i think she does actually have a shed coming up, we'll see

| got retained eye sheds removed, were full of infection and abscesses and vet said she'd had the really bad one probably her whole life. eyes underneath in bad shape, may or may not be operative again, will have to see. also saw signs of mouth rot. and of course she's still skinny at 19g.
prescribed Baytril 2x daily for 2 weeks, along with oxbow carnivore care to replace the reptiaid 1x daily. also said to up her heat and soak daily.

| Intake - poor condition, very thin, both eyes with retained shed, right much worse with large amounts of build up and possible underlying infection. Skin around eyes very dry. tail thin and body thin but not completely emaciated. all toes present, some stuck shed on tips. appears to have original tail and tail appears uninjured. Mouth also appears wonky. not like an infection (i hope) but somehow malformed?? It waves where it should be straight.
Was kept on crushed walnut w. no humid hide and w. heat lamp. Upon intake moved to quarantine tub - shoebox size, with paper towel sub, humid hide with moss and peat, normal hide, UTH, calcium dish, and small fluorescent light for day/night cycle. keeping humidity a bit high in attempts to aid with softening/shedding of stuck sheds.
