Vet Trip First Vet Trip $40.00 Had a physical, complete blood count, nasal swab cytology, and fecal done. Fecal results in tomorrow. CBC normal. Nasal swab negative. Physical normal - lungs sounded clear, no crackles or wheezes; no evidence of stomatitis; buccal mucosa pink and clear. Sneezing less than Saturday; therefore no tracheal wash or radiographs done as signs were not severe enough to warrant the stress/useful results were unlikely. No antibiotics prescribed as, again, signs were mild and appetite is excellent. Husbandry reviewed and pronounced adequate. Instructed to continue with current care and watch for worsening respiratory signs. Probed as a male.
04/11/13
Turned Opaque Pre-shed Dug up for vet trip today; clearly opaque and getting ready to shed. Respiratory signs might be preshed behavior? Considering otherwise voracious appetite, lack of increased saliva, lung sounds, or open mouth respiration, this is a possibility.
04/09/13
Feeding Fed (1) F/T Mouse - Weanlings Fed in daylight instead of in evening as per other two feedings. Tong-fed with pre-killed mouse offered at mouth of burrow. Shot out, struck, coiled, and rapidly consumed. Extremely enthusiastic feeder.
