Feeding 1 - Pinhead cricket (missing from tank, presumed eaten) Left one cricket in the tank with the little one. She did not immediately eat, but by 24 hours later the cricket was nowhere to be found. Presumed eaten.

Feeding 1 - Pinhead Cricket (missing from tank, presumed eaten) After conducting a thorough search of the enclosure I am unable to find the cricket that was left inside. There is a single leg lying in one corner and some web has been spun around one hide entrance (though the spider has yet to use either hide). This seems to indicate that it is likely that he/she finally ate. Signs of recovery are still strengthening and he/she is now able to climb to the top of the critter keeper and back down without losing grip or balance.

Comments ICU follow up Seeing signs of improvement today. The spider is holding its body weight much more confidently and has even climbed the wall of the ICU and managed to hold on. His legs have straightened out and his movement is more natural. He will remain in ICU to rehydrate this evening.

Comments New enclosure Enclosure purchased, large critter keeper, and pin head crickets/tiny mealworms brought home as food source. Spider has been relocated into enclosure with eco earth substrate and two makeshift burrows comprised of half toilet paper tubes. Cricket placed in enclosure but spider did not show interest so it will be left in for 24 hrs.

Comments Found in kitchen injured Found a juvenile tarantula cowering in the kitchen this evening. Leg span slightly over 1'' but missing two legs. Showing signs of moderate dehydration, problems with coordination and general lack of strength. Legs held in awkward position, though not in a death curl. Placed spider in ICU overnight.
