| Well, Maman has still not passed the rest of her eggs and I am well beyond the point of concerned, and another vet visit and potential surgery seems inevitable to save her. One of the three eggs she laid is definitely a dud, and I have a suspicion that one of the others is a s well. At least the one has nice veins all around. |

| Laid Eggs | Maman's Difficult Oviposition |
| well, she started laying Saturday morning, and tyhe first three out looked great. Was out for a few hours and expected to arrive home to the rest of her small clutch, but she was only coiled around the initial three eggs, obviously with some still left in her. attempted to soak her in warm water for a few hours and gently palpate her in hopes of getting her to contract out the rest of the eggs, but no dice. So took her to the vet yesterday and had to have a fecal obstruction removed, which was preventing the remaining four eggs from being released. Apparently she had been a bit dehydrated and had retained some quite hardened urates for some time. So now I am waiting to see if she will pass the remaining four eggs on her own or if more mediacl attention is necessary. |
