08/03/12	Eggs Hatched	One survivor		One little lesser platinum girl is out of the egg--very small, at 42 grams, but appears strong. Slightly short tail. We will hold her back, and see how it goes.
08/01/12	Comments	Disappointment		These eggs collapsed early, and although in the same incubator as other clutches, I couldn't get them to plump back up. With cramped quarters in small eggs, this may be why the embryos did not do well. 3 have died so far during hatching, and signs of spinal deformity were present. Only one remains alive now, a little lesser. He is breathing air, and only time will tell if he will succeed in absorbing his yolk sac, and make it out.
