Escaped Sooo Lucky! Was walking into my snake room late last night, saw something moving wiggling around on the carpet in front of the snake rack, which was lit up bright red from the night bulbs. Could barely see what was moving so I looked real close and saw that it was BACON! I was confused and almost in denial because there was no way that he could have gotten out of his tub, on the top rack! I quickly snatched him up and placed him back into his tub. I looked at his tub to see if it was left cracked open, but it was tightly pushed all the way in. Then I looked around for any air holes I could have drilled too large without realizing, but didnt find any. The only possible way Bacon could have excaped is if he had squeezed out the gap between the top of his tub, and the bottom of the shelf above it (which is about an 1/8in. gap). So, with absolutely no way to make the gap smaller, I just swapped out Bacon's entire tub out with a larger snake's tub further down the rack. I started assembling the Rack from the bottom up, and made sure to keep the gap inbetween the bottom of the shelves and the top of each tub were all a little smaller than 1/8in. But, I screwed up the measurements while at Home Depot and made the top shelf too large, and had to glue a 1/4in. thick sheet of wood that fit perfectly under the top shelf, which closed the gap to somewhere between 1/8in. and 9/16in. I didnt think a 9/16in. gap was large enough for my Bacon to squeeze through, He is about 3 or 4 times that thick, and can barely even reach the top of his tub!
