| *Update*
Poor girl went to the vet today. Vet proscribed Metronidazole 250/8. Shes hoping that these antibiotics will help (and stay down long enough) in the mean time while we get the results of the fecal float and the bloodwork. At least the bloodwork will be back tomorrow. *sigh*
She was 606 grams when she went to the vet in March, and now shes 350! We are checking for crypto and other parasites. She is very possibly anemic, since the vet had a hell of a time getting blood, and apparently the blood was a little abnormally watery, so we're checking for lots of things with that, including blood parasites.
I spared no expense, our baby got every test the vet thought would help. I figured why not, this isnt something we can really figure out, so better do them. Plus, our vet has never tried to make up tests to get money out of us, so i knew that she really wanted to figure out what was wrong, and rule out serious things like Crypto. Oh man, I'll be furious if she has Crypto....and super sad. I love this snake!
My poor baby was really well behaved throughout every test. She musked the vet during the fecal flush, but i dont blame her! She didnt bite anyone (even me) just opened her mouth and acted upset. While her blood was being drawn she was more curious about what was being stuck in her tail than biting or being aggressive...she didnt even tail buzz! Shes still very active despite being so sick, and her great personality was really instrumental in getting the tests completed today. The vet says that the fact that she isnt lethargic is a "good" sign.

| Had her out this morning, opened the box lid slowly, let her know i was there, no tail buzzing! She seemed calm, temps were still about 78 degrees. She came out and did some exploring, no striking, although at one point i moved my hand quickly and she tensed up. She still doesnt really like hands by her face. |

| She tail-buzzed in the cage, and also once i got her out. No musk or biting. DO NOT grab this snake behind the head, she will bite. I accidentally grabbed her behind the head, trying to wrangle her back in the cage, and she tried to strike. No worries, i still like her. |

| Blaine saw her and fell head over heels! She cost us $100. Unlike many lucy texas rat snakes, she has no bug eyes. :) So far, her disposition has been friendly. She is 4' long and incredibly white lol. |
