07/09/11	Comments	Coming Home		After spending several hours at today's reptile expo without finding a corn that screeched my name, I went to my Petco(The staff there are AMAZING. Wayne is the best!) and found this little one. There were several other pretty hatchlings there too - including a bloodred! - but when I tried to set her back in the tank, she would not go back in! She kept slithering higher up my arm until I forced her to stay in. But in the end, she was right. She ended up coming home with me! And I must say, she is quite the little beauty! I love ghosts, and I have been wanting a motley for a while, so she was the perfect find!
07/09/11	Comments	Settling In		Now that she's home, she's really mellow for such a little guy... I don't know if it's because she's in shock of all that went on today, but Tenzin came from the same place, and he's the chillest snake ever! Anyways, I put her in her new tank and she immediately burrowed. Seeing this, I was slightly sorrowed, because Tenzin and Remus are both burrowers and I rarely see them out and about unless it's later at night. But a few minutes later, she was back on top, cruising around, checking things out... And a while after that, she slithered up to her branch perch and coiled up. She went and hid when I was invading her privacy by taking pictures, but she was soon back up there, and she's been there for several hours now... I think she's spending the night up there. She is so freaking adorable all coiled up! No bigger than the lens on my camera! I sure hope she turns out to be female... That's the problem with buying hatchlings from petco; you never really know what you're getting, and you won't know for a while, if you don't know how to pop them yourself.
