10/01/08	Comments	Status Update		At this point Noodle is 8 weeks old and has refused every meal offered her. Contacted Dave Barker who advised that he doesn't offer food til the 6th week anyway, he recommended an alternative to the enclosure she was in, as well as various feeding techniques including "tease feeding." It's been two weeks now and in addition to still showing no interest in food, she is looking increasingly emaciated/dehydrated. She also continues to defecate daily and the color is green. Dave thought it was probably yolk she was still digesting -- and maybe it is -- but that's an inexplicably large amount of yolk. And if she were still absorbing nutrients from yolk, she shouldn't be wasting...right? Leaving for almost a week tomorrow and I did not want to risk leaving her unattended with nothing in her system. I elected to assist feed a fresh mouse tail. She protested at first, but after leaving the tail in her mouth and rotating it a few moments she began to swallow it on her own. She finished and has held it down so far. Fingers crossed.
