My Reptile Interests

I always had a lot of pets as a kid and always tried bringing more home. The ones my parents actually let me keep were mostly rodents. I took what I could get and over the years had cared for and been bitten by every common rodent the local pet shops supplied. One day, while waiting for mom to shop I popped in to the pet store next door to pass the time. It just happened to be feeding day for all the reptiles and the store keeper (who knew me well for my constant loitering) asked if I wanted to watch. As mom was still taking forever I said "sure". I watched the lizards hunt down their crickets, the snakes gulp down their rats, and turtles swim after their goldfish. It was the most awesome thing my 8 year old eyes had ever seen. Soon mom came over to drag me home as I yapped about the experience the whole way. I was hooked from then on and went back every feeding day I could for the next 4 years. After I was done being a stupid teenager and got my own place and picked back up where I left off. Now at age 29 still bringing pets home but now hiding them from my manager instead of my parents.

Other Interests

I'm pretty much plugged into my computer most of the time. Like my reptiles I can't thermoregulate (due to spinal cord injury) and freeze in temperatures below 75 degrees. Being that I live in Oregon, I don't go out too much. I do a lot of reading online about all different things. I play online and offline games, chat with people, spend time with my pets and husband, watch movies, and love food.

This is just a silly category to have anywhere. Why anyone would care about the type of music I listen to is beyond my grasp. If someone's musical tastes makes them more approachable to you, that is pretty juvenile.
