My Reptile Interests
|
|
Keep snakes mostly. I've been caring for snakes for about 40 years now as of this year, 2012. I took my first herpetology course in high school in 1974. I have had lizards, ie. Nile & Savannah Monitors, I presently have a large Savannah Monitor. I have cared for small lizards and occasionally hunted snakes in the wild and kept them in order to study their habits and get more familiar with different species. I've been interested in snakes or reptiles and general animal husbandry since I was a Boy Scout at the age of about 10.
I educate children in elementary schools and local daycare centers when invited.

Mountain biking, hiking, working out at the gym, watching TV and movies. Oh, and I love smart phones and computer stuff.

Metallica, Seether, Grand Funk Railroad, Ozzy Osbourne, ZZ Top, Collective Soul, Dream Theater, not to mention a good many more.

Movies
|
|
I enjoy all sci-fi and special-effects movies, super hero movies and some westerns. My favorite actors are Clint Eastwood ("Josey Wales" being my most favorite of his movies), Denzel Washington, Sam Elliott, Jamie Lee Curtis, Kevin Costner, Jennifer Aniston, Al Pacino, William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, Robert De Niro, and Sean Connery.

I work in assembly at BMW, building the X3 SAV in Hall 52. I work the first seven years in Hall 50 , building the X5, X6 SAV's and the Z4 Roadster since January 2003. Before that I worked for almost two years at Timken in Gaffney where I was in charge of fire, safety, medical and checking in and out trucks entering and exiting the plant site. I also worked for almost 20 years at the Hoecsht-Celanese Corp. Spunbond production line in Spartanburg. .

Before I graduated high school I earned the Eagle Scout award along with a bronze palm. I was also in the Air Force for four years where I was honorably discharged in 1981.
