My Reptile Interests

I've been obsessed with animals all my life, specifically reptiles since I was 10. I was fortunate in that our small local zoo has an AMAZING youth volunteer program, so I was a zoo volunteer from 5th grade through graduation. It was there that I fell in love with fox snakes, first snake I ever worked with. I got a turtle (spunky) from a friend in Junior High, and got my first snake (Rainbow Boa) in college while working at a local pet store. Throughout college, I eventually had to get rid of my bed at my parents' house, to make room for more cages! I also had the opportunity to be involved in a Herp Society for a few years at the University. Tons of fun!

Umm... Outside of reptiles?? I enjoy artwork when I get the chance, hiking and biking when I'm not feeling lazy. Spending time with my husband and cats, and wasting time on the internet.

Classic Rock, Celtic/Renaissance type stuff, weird things... Pretty much anything but Rap.

|
|
Lord of the Rings, Horrible B Movies, "Bonnet movies" (Jane Austen and the like), Musicals.

Professional
|
|
Graduated from college a year ago, got married 6 months ago, working part-time at an animal shelter. We finally found a house, which is more like a small town downtown apartment over a business space, so the collection will be living downstairs and eventually a reptile store will follow. Should be a wild ride!
