My Reptile Interests

I keep four chondros, eight ball pythons, and one California king snake. I belong to the Virginia Herpetological Society and participate in field studies with a group called Snake Force One which is part of VHS.

I play electric bass guitar in a rock band, The Venture Rays. I enjoy creative writing, reading, photography, tennis, chess, and other intellectually demanding activities including sleep.

Totally depends on my mood. I can go with speed metal, new age, and anything in between. I've played in rock bands, blues bands, heavy metal bands, a jazz band, a country band, and a church folk group. My biggest influence is anything I hear on TV, but I'm not a true audiophile. The guys on my band get on my case because I'm a serious musician who pays absolutely no attention to what's going on in the world of music.

I'm impulsive, especially when it comes to purchases. This is why I own a king snake, even though I never wanted a king snake and there's nothing particularly exceptional about my king snake. If I was going to choose something that wasn't a chondro or a ball python, it would be a western hognose, a red corn snake, a jungle carpet python, or maybe a gecko, but no, I saw a king snake and my hand reached for my wallet. Somebody please help: if I don't save my money, I'll never get a blue chondro!
