My Reptile Interests
I have kept reptiles my entire life, starting with a childhood fixation on newts, then progressing to running a Red Eared Slider rescue in high school, then working with various dart frog species volunteering at the California Academy of Sciences. I successfully bred many frog species, before becoming briefly interested in gecko and chameleon breeding. Now I've settled on snakes, specifically 5-7ft python species, and have fallen in love with Australian/New Guinea/Indonesia. I currently own two out of six animals on my 'dream list'; a Coastal carpet and a Woma, but would like to add a GTP or two, a D'Albert's python, a Bismark ringed, and, eventually, a Boelen's or pair if I win the lottery. ;)
Other Interests
I write blogs and articles freelance, as well as work on my pet project, my forever-unfinished novel. I love hiking and trailing with my two dogs, as well as my awesome beautiful girlfriend, and we kayak in the Puget Sound with orca whales whenever we can. I volunteer with a reptile educational outreach program, as well as at the local Humane Society where my girlfriend works. I also smoke a ton of weed, watch cartoons and obsessively read and nerd out.
