My Reptile Interests
|
|
I used to have many reptiles but five years ago my life went upside down and I gave them all to friends and people I met that were herp lovers. I have kept and bred Bearded Dragons , and Blue Beauty Rat Snakes. I had a very large savanna monitor, a large male bw tegu, kings, rat snakes, green tree python,ball python, IJ carpet python,hog nose,leopard geckos, armadillo lizard, and a couple of tarantulas.
There are no lizards around my area naturally , but there are snakes. My favorite being the Fox Snake. I have caught 5 footers in the past by going down to the river a little after sunrise and catching them on the rocks trying to warm up in the morning sun.

My son has shown interest in reptiles! One day last month he said to me "Dad, I want a leopard gecko." My two year old asked me for a lizard!!!!!
So I got a nice little female for us to enjoy and Ive got a Halloween Mask Bold leopard gecko on hold. She should be here on Sept. 5 :) I plan on getting a male in the near future and hopefully we will have some baby leos' next year.
