My Reptile Interests

I have been interested in reptiles since I can remember, however being under my parents roof I was never allowed to invest in one of my own. As soon as I moved out and started college I began searching for near by reptile shows resulting in the purchase of my first crestie Dexter...thus starting an addiction...=] After researching and mapping bloodlines I settled on a few geckos that I could afford..they did not necessarily have the A++ patterning but they had the genetics for it so I gave it a go. I currently have a variety of breeding groups but focus mainly on pinstripes of the colorful type =] After 5 years of keeping geckos I have learned so much..however I'm always learning something new =]

I ride horses competitively in eventing, dressage, and show jumping. However, I have tried just about everything under the sun as far as the equestrian sport goes. I also enjoy playing polo. I am also an artist that specializes in painting animal portraits. I am very out-doorsey...I love to camp (the real kind with a tent not a camper), hike, fish, raft/canoe, etc. I am also a born track and field athlete...and was blessed to obtain a "full ride" scholarship at a D1 university.

I am currently attending Youngstown State University on a track and field scholarship. I will be graduating this fall with a Bio/Chem (pre-veterinary) degree. I still have not decided if I want to proceed onto vet school, and may end up in grad school perusing a masters in biology...
